The Excellence of the Salafi Masaajid

The Excellence of the Salafi Masaajid:

Allaah the Glorified and Exalted said,

“And He revealed that the masaajid are for Allaah, so do not invoke with Allaah anyone.” [Sooratul-Jinn 72:19]

From Abee Hurayrah (radiyallaahu ’anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “The most beloved of places to Allaah are the masaajid and the most hated of places to Allaah are the marketplaces.” [1]

From Abid-Dardaa‘ (radiyallaahu ’anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “The masjid is the home of every devout individual.” [2]

The high status of the masjid in Islaam can also be seen by the fact this is was the first thing that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) did upon arriving in al-Madeenah. Imaam Ibn Katheer (d.774H) – rahimahullaah – said, “He began by building Masjid Qubaa‘, and it was the first masjid built in al-Madeenah.” [3]

Note:

We intend by all of the above the masaajid of Ahlus-Sunnah, where Tawheed and Sunnah are observed, not the masaajid of the people of innovation which only corrupt the ‘aqeedah of Islam in truth.  Shaykh ’Ubayd Ibn ‘Abdullaah al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullaah) has stated, “I advise these youth from the Salafis to pray with their brothers from the Salafis and not to go to the people of innovation, because this will increase their numbers and strengthen them against the people of the Sunnah.” [4]
